Tempting Knitalong

So I finished the tempting. But after casting off and trying it... I realized to my horror that it's WAY TOO BIG....
So without further ado, I ripped it apart till it's at the tube level. I'm thinking of lengthening it, add belt ribbon, cast off about 4-8 stitch or maybe just change it to smaller needle (3.25 needle) and continue. I may be able to wear the earlier version if I'm pregnant and have put on another 10 kg... omg.. that was how big it is.

So I have joined the sleeves to the body. The pattern says that you have to knit 5" from the join before you do the ribbon edge. I am still 3.5-4". Hoping to finish it in 5 days time. Can't wait to wear it. The sleeve looks big enough for me, but I can't say the same about the length. *sigh*..Maybe if all else fails I will just pick up the edges and crochet something.
Here it goes.

Progress Update

So far I have knitted about 70% of the required length and using about 4-5 skeins only. At this rate, I should finish it by next week- that is, if I keep the current arrangement of working 2-3 hours everyday.

However, if I do decide to go to work, then I may have problem finishing it by next week. Especially if I have to run around between 2 homes (hubby and parents)

Somehow I thikn it is good that I am a little stressed out because that will drive me to start knitting. But we'll see about that.

And also the overdue pictures *sigh*..simply too lazy.

Update: here is the progress picture *finally*

I'm not sure how did the color turn up this but it is supposed to be brownish and this is taken under white light (and already edited). Maybe next picture will be better.

Rip... Frog

After a visit to Veron, where she said that knitting in the round will normally produce a slant.. I decided to rip it and frog the project.
Besides, I tried it on and realize that it is a little too small for me.
Here is a picture of the slanted knitting:

Off I went to rip it and redo the project. This time I casted on 240 stitches. Hope that will fit well (with a little help of dieting). I will post soon the picture of slanting knitting.

That was about two weeks ago. I have re-stitched the 2+ skeins and now on the fourth skein. The slanting is not obvious and I guess blocking will help in a way.. but keeping my fingers crossed

Today the cashier from Golden Dragon said the yarn was beautiful and asked that it was. I didn't realize that she managed to peek inside my bag where I kept it... wow..but then again I opened it big and wide while I was fishing for my wallet..

If I continue knitting at this rate, perhaps I can finish it in 10 days or so.

Well, I figured out I have to set a good example so here I go.
I started casting on last week but working casually on the top as I have other projects in hand too.

I am using a fine cotton yarn and a 3.5 mm needle. And after working for 2 full days for about 2-3 hours each time(approximately) I nearly finished a skein and I have about 2.5".

So far so good because there is no pattern involved and yet at the same time I wished I could do something to spruce up the design. Maybe cable at the side? But I don't even know how this will turn out and I do not wish to frog my hard work.

Photos will have to wait till later. I'd like to go and sleep now (it's 1 am and I have to go to work tomorrow)
